Improving ex-racehorse and equine range of motion.

If you’re here, it’s because you’ve most likely stumbled onto my page from a blog post or some other social media reference. If you're  interested in improving upon your horse’s training or increasing their range of motion through learning and applying some beneficial holistic techniques, then you’re in the right place. Like many horse owners, we want the best for our horse and are always looking for ways to improve their life and over sense of well-being. Maybe you're having issues with your horse under saddle or they are not quite as supple and balanced as you’d like. You want to find a way to train your horse, bond and develop them to their best physical potential.

Maybe you’ve read other blogs and tried other techniques for training your horse—but nothing worked or addressed the issues you and your horse are dealing with. Something about what’s offered here speaks to you as a possible solution for your horse.

I’ve worked with several trainers in the past and nobody is able to help me get my horse to relax and come into a frame. He’s stiff, his neck is crooked and his canter is awful—so unbalanced.

My mare is very flat in all her gaits and she doesn’t seem to develop any kind of muscle definition. I want to build her topline and get her to focus on training, but she doesn’t pay attention when I ride her.

I have an OTTB gelding that rushes through the corners and won’t lunge. He constantly tosses his head and holds it inverted. I don’t know what to do with him.

If so, you’re not alone. I know how it feels to hit a training wall with your horse. I also know how to overcome it.

For more than 20-years I’ve worked professionally with both racehorses and ex-racehorses. I know many of the physical and behavioral issues that can be at play or are involved when rehabilitating and reschooling Thoroughbreds.

As a retired jockey, certified equine massage therapist, certified kinesiology taping practitioner, vet tech and certified equine rehabilitation practitioner student, I understand equine biomechanics and ways to apply techniques to help improve range of motion.

Of course, it took many years of training and schooling myself to really understand equine anatomy and the many physical issues that can manifest in the horse and how to train accordingly. That's why I've come up with my signature course, Strong and Stretchy (coming soon).
